Hi, hello everyone..👋

My name is Tita Widjayanti, you can call me Tita. I come from Indonesia exactly from Malang, East Java . I am currently studying a first-year doctoral student at the Faculty of Agriculture, majoring Regulation of Biological Function, Shizuoka University under the programme of United Graduate School of Agricultural Science (UGSAS), Gifu University. I love meeting new people and making new friends. Nice to meet you all..😊

This is me 😊

This is Me and my friends (Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and India)

Tell me a little about my interest study briefly. So far, i`ve been looking into how beneficial bacteria can be used in agriculture (biocontrol, biostimulant and recently as bioremidiation).

There are various bacteria that have been proven to degrade pesticides. However, sometimes in nature these bacteria are few and their ability to degrade pesticides is greatly influenced by enviromental conditions. this is related to factors that influence whether genes that play a role in degrading pesticides are expressed.

therefore, my research in Japan studied the factors and mecanism of these factors in influencing the expression of pesticides degradation genes. let`s fight, work hard and give the best! Ganbatte..💪

I want to say that I am grateful to take this class,

because what?

Because we can share and express about anything through writing.

And unexpectedly...

the theme for this class is food and culture. Woww I love it...💕

I love eating and cooking, so it will be related to this theme,

we will be enjoyable to inspire, to share stories and explore culinary and cultural boundaries and their stories behind.

I want to tell you about my cooking hobby, before I got married and had children, I rarely went to the kitchen, Oops 🙊

but after I had responsibilities as a wife and mother,
I have an instinct to make food for my family.

It's a process, seriously..
I once cooked very salty, burnt food and etc
However, as time passed, there were improvements and progress.
Yesss..

Cooking has taught me that proper preparation makes any task easier and smoother. Yes, usually I make a weekly menu planner, trust me it's really help you.

Cooking also boosts your creativity because you try new things, try new menus, and create menus so you don't get bored every day.

Sometimes you don't have time to go to the grocery store, so you have to keep cooking with the ingredients in the refrigerator. Our brains must think quickly and creatively to cook the food in the refrigerator and serve nutritious and delicious food to the family.

However, until now I'm still learning, so don't expect much from me. Hehehe..😄

My creation 😊

Talking about memorable food, I want to introduce a very unique Indonesian dish.

a traditional Indonesian delicacy, has many stories. Variety is abundant in Indonesia due to its various islands, regions, and regional cuisines.

Java is one of Indonesia's main islands, separated into west, middle, and east portions.

I met Rawon in East Java when I moved from West Java to work. Yes, the name is Rawon

This thick meat soup is served with bean sprouts, crackers, tempeh, and chili sauce for the spicy.

What makes this rawon unique?

If soup is usually clear or white, rawon has a black broth, yes black soup

Because it comes from kluwek, an Indonesian plant that becomes black when pounded.

I was scared and underestimated it at the first time,

but unexpectedly....

Woww the tastes very delicious, savory, spicy and rich in flavor after I eat it.

It's worth trying..

I hope you can visit Indonesia and enjoy this dish

let's explore global food and culture! Go..
