1. Your name (and nickname), place of origin, and anything that characterizes you.
I'm Nakamori from Gifu Prefecture.
I love udon! I eat them almost every day.
2. Your academic field, your doctoral study theme, and the most interesting aspect of your work at the moment (please describe it in simple terms).
My research topic is "Searching for shrub species as indicators of sika deer density."
I believe that sika deer eats a lot of shrubs, which causes the decline of the forest understory vegetation.
I am studying this because I am very interested in the process of forest understory vegetation decline.
3. Any food that you had recently and were impressed.
I had miso nikomi udon at a local restaurant.
I was impressed that there was as much beef in it as noodles.
Hi, the udon lover. I grew up in Okayama, where Sanuki udon dominates. So I am not very satisfied with udon here, but I like to have miso nikomi on a very cold day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, Prof. Miyake.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Okayama Prefecture.
I would like to try Sanuki udon in Okayama Prefecture.
