I saw a deer in Nara Park.
Cars stopped when deer crossed the road.
In Nara Park, hunting deer is prohibited because they are considered
"messengers of the gods" and are a national protected species.
However, the number of deer in increasing in the deep mountains, and they seem to be moving to the southern of Kyoto.
By the way, I bought a chocolate cake at Costco.
There was a brownie into the cake.
It was a very sweet taste that doesn’t exist in Japan.
The cake‘s calories is written 353 kcal per
100g.
Since the cake weighs about 1300g, if you eat the whole cake, it would be 4500 kcal !!
I have heard that in India, cows are treated as sacred and thus you can see them walking on the streets. Then I wonder what we see in India is like deers in Nara.
ReplyDeletePeople do not eat beef because cows are sacred animals to Hindus. However, India is the world's largest producer of raw milk. Bulls cannot produce milk. Most of the cows walking the streets of India are probably bulls.

DeleteI speculated that the bulls were on the road, but it is a subject worth investigating.
