Hi all,
I know that there are three more students, who do not yet post the messages.
We will wait for them.
I was back from the trip.
I was in Iriomote and Ishigaki islands, far south of Japan.
I should have taken more photos of foods for this class, but I forgot it.
This is “miso shiru.” Yes, it is.
Do you usually order miso-shiru (miso soup) at diners? Maybe not.
If you do, waiters will ask you “anything else?”, as miso-shiru is not enough as one meal.
But in Okinawa, miso-shiru is good enough as one meal.
The photo is miso-shiru I ordered, where rice and Japanese pickles (and sea weed) are included (600 yen).
OK. I will talk a bit about how you do in the class.
First, please follow what you guys post, including comments to the others’ post.
Then, post the next. On anything.
Anything related to the others’ topics, anything related to your recent food/culture experiences.
Takashi
P.S. I invited all to "notification of posting" but I am not sure how it works.

Welcome back from your trip.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised when I saw the miso-shiru in your picture.
It has enough nutritional value to be considered a full meal !!
