Self Introduction (Kong)
Hello all, sorry for this late post, my name is Weize Kong, you can call me Kong. I come from China, Heilongjiang Province, the northernmost part of China. Currently, I'm a 1st grade Ph.D. student at Gifu University.
When I was a master student, I majored in biochemistry and molecular biology. An accidental opportunity led me to start self-learning programming and biological model construction. Currently, I'm concentrating on developing a comprehensive model that could use the gene expression data to provide a quantitative assessment and estimation of the glycan abundance in the cellular context. One of the attractive parts of this work is that you could observe how cells might respond to various changes or disruptions in silico.
A month ago, I went to Tokyo and had a really tasty pasta in a small restaurant. I can still remember the aroma of the tomato sauce and the meatballs. Also, the tiramisu is amazing. The fusion of the liqueur with the coffee creates an incredibly tasty flavor.

Welcome to the class, Kong. And thank you for introducing your fascinate experience of an Italian cuisine. They look...so upper class food. I once thought that when I got a job and earn enough money I would go to such restaurants often. But the reality is not. I usually enjoyed ready-made boil-in-the-bag pasta souces at home and they are so-so good. So I just envy you.
