Hi, how are you everyone?
I hope you stay healthy in these freezing temperatures.
Talking of this winter, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels the need to eat all the time, hehehe..😅
After introducing Mie ayam before,
Warm food is always the greatest option in this cold weather.
Today I'd like to introduce you to Bakso..
A popular Indonesian food that can be found in almost every region of the country.
I like spicy food, so I usually add chili sauce to the meatball like this..
This Bakso is from China, where the name bah so literally means "meat ball."
Typically, these meatballs are made with ground beef, tapioca flour, and spices.
but now meatballs are very varied,
not only made from beef,
but can also be made from chicken, fish, shrimp.
In Indonesia, Bakso are traditionally served with hot beef broth,
then with noodles or glass noodles, bean sprouts, pak choy veggies, tofu and dumplings,
and don't forget to sprinkle with fried onions and celery,
nyamm...
Oh, I'm hungry:)
I prepared meatballs several times while I was here, and this is how they turned out.
It sounds similar to Bak kut teh (肉骨茶), which I found so yummy when I visited Malaysia, but seems no relations between them.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it's different from Bak Kut Teh Sensei
DeleteBakso is big compared to Japanese meatballs.
ReplyDeleteWriting the post makes me hungry as you are.
Correctly :)
