One of my favorite dishes at restaurants is Grilled Escargots.
At a restaurant named "Saizeriya", which operates nationwide in Japan, we can eat grilled escargots less than 500 yen.
It is a baked dish made with escargots and garlic butter sauce.
Escargots are edible snails that are hygienically farmed to avoid parasites.
The snails are considered a rare delicacy (?) , with a value equivalent to that of caviar from sturgeon.
I was thrilled when I ate it for the first time. But it was very delicious.
The crisis over food shortages has led to research on insects as a source of protein.
Escargot may also be a good research subject.

ReplyDeleteHello, Watanabe-san.
ReplyDeleteI understand, you don't like the look of it.
But I was curious and ordered it.
Please try escargot next time!
Hi Ohmoto, Nice to meet you, I often hear about Saizeriya restaurants from my Indonesian friends, usually escargot is served with the snails (shell) in it, but it seems like what you eat has been processed, right? Looks like that could be one of the menus that i must try, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHi Tita. Thank you for your response.
ReplyDeleteEscargot served as a dish is not shelled. It is processed and seasoned with small vegetables and garlic butter.
Please try it!
I got it, thank you for your reply
